This piece is the first one created for the Spring Drop 2026 and the first design inspired by the changing season in the mountains.

This winter in Montana has been unusually warm and, honestly, pretty brown. I’ve been missing the cool tones of winter and that feeling of crisp mountain air. So when I started this piece, it felt natural to lean into the warmth and softness of spring instead. The sky is filled with pastel tones and flowing movement, reflecting that moment when the seasons begin to shift and color slowly returns to the landscape.

Featuring the beautiful Mt. Shasta, this piece is made from 100% retired climbing rope, giving old rope a second life as art. With its playful colors and dynamic sky, it’s a piece that immediately catches the eye while still honoring the quiet power of the mountain itself.
