I’ve created a handful of Yosemite-inspired pieces since starting my business, and considering I’m also a climber, you’d think I would have made the pilgrimage to the Valley by now. But somehow, I still haven’t made the trip. Even though I haven’t stood beneath Half Dome in person, I understand how iconic and meaningful this place is to so many.
While making this piece, I kept imagining those tiny climber silhouettes. Just specks on a massive wall of granite, moving slowly up the face. I wanted to honor that scale and reverence in the design. This piece feels like it belongs to the people who return to Yosemite year after year. I can see it living in a van, a small cabin, or a home full of chalky gear and beta maps... a quiet reminder of the big stone walls when you're not on them. It’s a tribute to granite dreams and the pull of places that feel bigger than we are.
